Templar Knights

This is my Feedback about the Wilderness of Sweets story and I am going to relate it to the Movie Arn the Knight Templar, The Movie Arn is about a Boy who was raised in a chapel and was trained to be a swordsman. He succeed being a swordsman but the twist of the story was Arn's Relationship. He fell in love with a Nun in the Chapel and in the end they became husband and wife and had a Male child. The 2 lovers are really sneaky since Nuns are not allowed to have a relationship plus both of their family are in war therefore they are not allowed to date each other just like in Romeo and Juliet. So when they found out Arn was sent to join the Knights Templar while the Woman is detained for plenty of years. In order for Arn to be back in his country he has to serve the knight templar for a very long time. Arn was a skillful Knight Templar and succeed plenty of Wars Until he encounter their next opponent which the leader was Arn's friend therefore he have to slay all of them in order to be victorious. This opponent of the Knight Templar is a Kind man who Arn saved from a bandit raid resulting them to be friends therefore this person ow's Arn his life. The war begun and at first the Knight Templar won and lastly they lost because of a failed strategy.
All of the Knight Templar who joined the blood bath war was slained except for Arn because the Leader Ow's His life to Arn, therefore Arn was safe. He recieved a letter that He can Finally go back to his country and so he did. On the other hand the Woman finally was release from detention and Joined His beloved Son who was already 18 years old. The Child was raised by a close family of the Woman. Back at the country everyone is celebrating for Arn's Return and Family Reunions. There is still a Small war against the 2 Regions, the other region wants to occupy Arn's Region therefore they started a war. Arn lead his small group of army against the other region. Finally they won the war, but Arn was hurt really badly so as they return from their village Arn bid farewell his life to his Wife and son. And the place was eternally at peace because of him.

The Story was about a Knight Templar's Life, the story was really romantic at the same time brutal because the movie shown the things that a Knight Templar can do, It was really brutal for me because as a knight templar you carry God's blessings but yet they break the simple rules of being a child of the lord. They kill people brutally, they slay people blindly because of their rules. At the same time the story was a Love story about 2 lovers who got separated just like in Wilderness of Sweet it was really difficult to handle your emotions in the middle of difficulty.

For me I dont know much about the Knight Templars but rumors and other movies shown how powerful they are and they're capabilities. to be honest plenty of movies or stories says that they are merciless and brutal to those who defy the name of the Lord. In the movie this was shown really clearly because their opponent is a clan with a different religion therefore ending the 2 army in conflict because of their different beliefs.

Finally I would like to share that maybe this was not really they're intentions but i Believe that it was just a story that makes the Knight templar look really negative. Just like in World War 2 because of different books, movies or any kind of artistic work, people believe that the Japanese are bad, but my grandparents told me that they are kind. It is just the rules that they follow and most of the time the things that people remember is the bad memories therefore resulting for a bad impact in story re-telling.

before and after

1.)After reading and the group discussion of "Games", "Documents", and "The tale of Spinster and Peter Pan" The first thing came into my mind is that Time flies so fast because if you compare this stories in the past life there is a great change. I asked my Grandparents about life when they were young and comparing it to the present life, they're generation is really conservative and careful. Plus the gadgets and new stuffs of the present day which past lack have a great impact to our lives. It makes certain things easier for example: communication, research, and others. People of today are getting lazier. Another point i want to share is about communications, Since life is getting better this days, it affects our attitude some might not see this but it is different from before. Our Language expands but our Values lessens.

2.)The advantage and Disadvantage of Modern Life and the Past Generation. After having a deep conversation with my Grandma I learned plenty of things in terms of values. People of MY generation lack in Respect. In the Story this was shown really well and in real life this is also true, to be honest people now a days rarely use po and opo and some forget to Bless(mano) to our elderly. My grandma also told me that the people of our generation barely go to Church or Pray compared to their Generation. And also Modern generation lack of "Good Manners & Right Conducts" this was shown in the 3 stories. The past Generation in our country practice this but they failed to pass it on to the new born because most of us improvise thus making life easier.

3.)Technology had a big impact to me specially in terms of communication like in the Story of "Games" the story some how delivered the point that technology can harm in terms of communication, since technology grant us a communication which you cannot see the person you are talking to, people tend to abuse it specially in the internet that is why there are Cyber Bullies which are now a main problem in the society. But in the bright side people can have a conversation anytime & anywhere. It became a problem because people find ways to abuse it.

DLSC LITFILI HW

The story our class tackled last few days ago are "Summer Solstice" and "Love in the Cornhusks" both of them are love related stories.

For my opinion Summer Solstice has a very different setting compared to the Love in the Cornhusks because the lead characters in Summer Solstice are rich or high class people. Compared to Love in the Cornhusk the lead character is striving for survival. Some how the similarities of the story is that both of the leading characters seek love. It is just the status that makes the difference in the ending but both of the leading characters want something. In Summer Solstice she seek power and superiority while in Love in the Cornhusks she seek comfort and safety.

The culture in both stories are really far apart. In Summer Solstice they have similarities with western culture while in Love in the Cornhusk seems to be local. That is why in Summer Solstice it seem like she want a higher-dimensional life. It also look really unbalance compared to Love in the Cornhusks that there are symbols that represent balance. In our world today balance is really important therefore the story "love in the Cornhusks" is really a good example for a positive story. The ending might be bad compared to Summer Solstice but the deeper meaning makes the story a good ending.

NAZCA LINES

NAZCA lines

The Nazca lines are series of Geoglyphs located in the Nazca Desert in South Peru. The Nazca Lines are hundred of straight lines, geometric shapes and the images of animals and birds.
The Nazca Lines were first spotted when commercial airlines began flying across the Peruvian desert in the 1920's.

Some people say that the Nazca Lines were created by aliens. Von Däniken(1970)He argues that the
Nazca lines and figure could have been built using an aircraft. That is why there are lines look alike landing strips.
Scholars believed that the Nazca lines were created by Nasca between 400 to 650 AD.(The Nasca was the archaeological culture that flourished from 100 to 800 CE)
TIME LINE: Proto Nazca (100 BCE – CE 1)
Early Nazca (CE 1-450)
Middle Nazca (CE 450-550)
Late Nazca (CE 550-750)
Researchers said that the purpose of the Nazca lines are for the gods to look upon them from above, others said that it was for astronomical alignment that would aid in planting and harvesting crops. Others have thought that the lines are for extra-terrestrial aircraft.

The Nazca line were preserved due to the combination of the climate. It is one of the Driest on Earth, with only half an hour of rainfall per year. And the stony ground which lessen the effect of the wind at ground level.
